LOTS TO DO

It doesn't matter what you're into, there's plenty to do in the local area. There's every kind of walking, gentle strolls along the canal, pubs, restaurants and plenty of independent shops in Barnoldswick itself.

The lovely market town of Skipton is only twenty minutes' drive and the Lake District can be reached in under two hours. If you're a steam train buff, there are two steam railways close by: the Embsay Railway just outside Skipton, and the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway which shares Keighley station with trains from Skipton and Leeds. You can also travel the incredibly scenic Settle and Carlisle line by joining the train at Skipton or Gargrave.

If you travel west, you're into the more urban areas of Colne and Nelson with tremendous retail opportunities and large mill stores.

The whole area abounds with industrial heritage, and on selected weekends you can witness the steaming of an old Mill engine at Bancroft Mill on the edge of Barnoldswick
